Description
Luxury 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom ground-floor apartment on a 4-star resort on the edge of the traditional fishing village of Burgau in the Western Algarve.
The apartment has been tastefully and comfortably furnished. The open-plan kitchen is fully-equipped with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hob, and oven.
The living room has 2 sofas, and a TV and DVD player. The living room opens out onto a good-size terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is a built-in barbecue on the terrace.
Both bedrooms open out on to the terrace. The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath. The second bedroom has twin beds and a separate bathroom. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating and there are also heating / air conditioning units in each bedroom and the lounge, which means that the apartment is ideal for a winter break.
The apartment is a short walk from the shared pool and other facilities (gym, jacuzzi, sauna, changing rooms) and the restaurant. There is a large lawned area with a play area and equipment for children.
Access to the pools and gym is free.
Please note there is a charge (payable locally) to use the spa area (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room).
The nearest beach is a short walk away through the village (Burgau). For golfers, there are several golf courses within a 15-20 minutes drive.
For those who enjoy walking, this is a fantastic area for walks along the stunning coastline.
The village of Burgau is 10km west from Lagos, and about 1 hour from Faro airport. Burgau is a popular holiday destination for families, and is ideal for those with young children.

The last week of July my family and I shared a wonderful holiday in the Domusiberica complex. The facilities on site were excellent. Large clean pool with a huge grassy area with play house/slides etc for young kids. Nice restaurant with modestly priced snacks and full drinks selection. The apartment itself was immaculately clean, very well equipped and just as described, all you would expect from a 4-star resort. Directions from the airport were spot on and easy to negotiate. The entire booking process was made very simple with prompt and efficient communication from the property manager, Sean. He met us on arival and showed us around the apartment. He made himself available at all times to answer any queries and was most helpful. Burgau can only be described as a little gem. A nice peaceful easy paced sleepy fishing village with an unspoilt and uncrowded beach. I would highly recommend the Ancora restaurant at the bottom of the hill. It's family run and the one thing that struck us was the fact that the hostess knew practically all the guests. They had obviously been before and returned. We did too! The food was excellent. The veal and monkfish were outstanding! Nice seafood in pretty much all the other restaurants too. All in all we had a fantastic week. I highly recommend Burgau and the Domusiberica apts. Hopefully we will return one day... Enjoy!
